Frequently Asked Questions... Airbrush Tan Equipment Questions
What is an airbrush?
An airbrush is a small, air-operated tool that sprays fluid like Aruba Tan Airbrush Tanning Solution. It resembles, and is held like, a pen.

How does an airbrush work?
The airbrush must be attached to an air source (like an Aruba Tan Airbrush Compressor) to spray. The user turns on the airbrush by depressing a trigger, which regulates the amount of spray delivered. As the user pulls back on the trigger, a combination of air and Aruba Tan Airbrush Tanning Solution are sprayed.

What is a compressor?
An air compressor compacts (squeezes) or compresses air (called "ambient air" meaning the air we breathe) under pressure to create a force of air. This pressurized air occupies a smaller space either inside the compressor or in an air tank connected to the compressor. The higher the pressure, the harder the compressor has to work! The higher the pressure, the faster the pressurized air will escape from the compressor. The compressed air is what pushes the Aruba Tan Airbrush Tanner through the airbrush so it can be atomized into a fine mist for application on your skin! The compressor comes with a regulator that allows your airbrush technician to adjust the amount of air pressure coming from the compressor to the airbrush.
